Cheers to Cider + Community + Collabs!

We’re so excited for Cider Summit Portland this weekend, for a million reasons. When our founders, Lynda and Jeff Parrish, were first considering selling their own cider, they went to the first-ever Cider Summit in Portland. Clearly, they were inspired, and this will be our 10th year as a Cider Summit participant!

We love spending two days in The Fields Park, a gorgeous setting for any Portland summertime event, rain or shine. This favorite festival is back in-person after two years of virtual Cider Summits, and we can’t wait to see so many of our cidermaking friends in one place! The people in our industry are a warm and friendly group that values community over competition, and we always have a good time when we get together. But we are especially excited about the ciders we get to share with all the festival attendees.

We always have a tent with some of our favorite ciders on tap, and this year we’ll be pouring Strawberry Pineapple, True Brut, Imperial Dry (a festival exclusive early release!), and Prickly Punch as our fruit challenge entry (where you can vote for your favorite fruit cider). But that’s not all…

You know we love a good collaboration. So for the first time ever, we’ll have a second tent with collab-only ciders PLUS a little pairing from each of our partners. That’s where you’ll find our Imperial Peach Tea (and Steven Smith iced tea), Holy Habanero Cider (and HAB Sauce Sauce Lord served with chips) Blueberry Bourbon Basil Cider (with a BBB donut from Blue Star), and Tangerine Dreamsicle (with half-scoop of Nico’s Tangerine Dreamsicle ice cream — or grab a half-pint at the cart next to us)! And to top it all off, you’ll find 503 Distilling pouring a brand-new Apple Brandy at their tent nearby, which is also a collaboration with our cider-making team.

We would dare you to find something even remotely this fun in Portland this weekend, but honestly, it’d be a waste of your time. Just show up at Cider Summit this Friday and/or Saturday to celebrate cider, and be sure and stop by the two Portland Cider tents for tastes of some of our brand-new ciders and collabs—and just to say hello!
