Portland Cider’s POG Unleashes a Burst of Tropical Sunshine

CLACKAMAS, Ore. – April 8, 2024 – Juicy, refreshing and fruit-forward flavors of the tropics are practically bursting out of the can with the return of Portland Cider Company’s Passion Orange Guava cider. This fan-favorite cider has hit shelves two months earlier this year, to brighten up rainy spring days.

Passion Orange Guava is a tropical getaway in a glass (or right out of the can!), richly fruity, with tart passion fruit and tangy citrus giving way to luscious, smooth guava. This cider pairs perfectly with island-inspired foods like teriyaki chicken, coconut shrimp and pineapple fried rice, and is best enjoyed while swaying gently in a hammock or digging your toes into warm sand.

“Our POG cider takes me back to the summers that I spent on Maui in college working construction with my father,” said Jeff Parrish, co-owner of Portland Cider. “Each day my lunch pail would include a can of Hawaiian Sun’s Pass-O-Guava drink. POG has been one of those flavor combinations that really means summer to me. It’s that hit of warm sunshine that we need in the Pacific Northwest, while we wait for the sunshine to arrive.”

POG is now available in six-packs of 12-ounce cans at retailers within the craft cidery’s distribution footprint throughout Oregon, Washington, Colorado, and most of California. Retailers can be found using the company’s Cider Finder, or enjoy a pint by visiting a Portland Cider Taproom.
