Raising a Glass to Quality, Creativity, and Community

Our team at Portland Cider is feeling especially grateful these days. The past few months have been full of exciting recognition from some of the cider world’s most respected competitions, and while medals are always an honor, what they really mean to us is proof that our commitment to quality, craft, and community is making an impact.

Classic Ciders Honored at GLINTCAP

In May, at the Great Lakes International Cider and Perry Competition (GLINTCAP), three of our classics—Original Gold, Kinda Dry, and English Pubbrought home silver medals. For us, that’s not just hardware on a shelf. It’s a nod to the consistency and balance of the ciders that built our brand, and a reminder that apples, handled with care, never go out of style.

Then in June, at the Cidercraft Awards, our fruit-forward creations took center stage. POG (Passionfruit Orange Guava) earned a platinum medal in the tropical cider category, Pacific Berry was chosen as the Judges’ Pick, and Cranberry Mule snagged silver for cocktail-inspired cider. These wins celebrate the playful, adventurous side of Portland Cider—the kind of ciders that invite people to explore new flavors without ever compromising on real juice and zero added sugar.

The recognition kept rolling in at the Northwest Cider Cup, where Huckleberry Lemonade and Original Gold each won silver, while Pacific Berry and Kinda Dry brought home bronze. These medals mean a lot because they come from right here in our backyard, judged by peers who know and love Northwest cider as much as we do.

Our Commitment to Quality and Community

At the end of the day, though, awards are just one piece of the story. What matters most is the way our ciders bring people together—around backyard barbecues, at local festivals, in neighborhood taprooms, or wherever life calls for raising a glass.

Every batch we make starts with 100% Northwest apples and real fruit, crafted with care by our cidermakers who believe that quality is non-negotiable. We don’t take shortcuts, we don’t add sugar or syrups, and we never stop experimenting with new ways to make cider approachable, delicious, and distinctly Portland.
