Summer in the Pacific Northwest is the very best thing. After so many gray and rainy days, the sun is out, the sky is blue, and the air is warm and welcoming. It’s time to get outside and enjoy it—preferably with a chilled can of cider nearby!

The “Cider Samurai” title on Sam’s business card is deceptively simple. Since he joined the Portland Cider team as our second-ever cidermaker five years ago, Sam has become the glue that allows us to continue pumping out our cider creations. He thrives on taking care of the things that help the rest of the team do their jobs well, anticipating issues before they occur and preventing them so that the cider keeps flowing uninterrupted.

They say you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take. We kept that in mind as we humbly reached out to ask our tea idols, Steven Smith Teamaker if they’d like to partner with Portland Cider Co. on our brand-new Imperial Peach Tea release. Happily, they not only took our call, but they were also excited to work with us to create this first-of-its-kind beverage!

Mother’s Day is this Sunday! (Life comes atcha fast, right?) Don’t panic—you still have time to treat the mother figure in your life to something thoughtful and unique. The Rose City is full of local shops and services that can help make the day special.
