JOB SUMMARY

As a Washington Brand Ambassador, you'll represent Portland Cider Co. at tastings, festivals, and events in your local market. You'll be the boots-on-the-ground presence for our brand, pouring cider, educating consumers, and helping us grow our community outside of Oregon. 

This role is ideal for students, retirees, service industry, or anyone looking for supplemental income with a flexible schedule.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Events:

  • Set up and break down tasting stations (tents, jockey boxes, signage, merchandise)

  • Pour cider samples and engage guests

  • Answer questions about Portland Cider Co., our brand story, and where to find us

  • Collect customer feedback and encourage Cider Club sign-ups

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming event space

  • Ensure all brand standards and alcohol service regulations are followed

Behind the Scenes:

  • Pick up supplies and cider from our distributor (Olympic Eagle) before events

  • Transport and maintain event equipment (jockey boxes, taps, coolers, tents)

  • Complete post-event reports via our scheduling app

  • Communicate regularly with the marketing/sales team via our ambassador app (Sling)

  • Stay up-to-date on new releases, seasonal flavors, and brand initiatives

SCHEDULE & AVAILABILITY

  • Year-round position with peak season April-October

  • Flexible, part-time hours, most events are evenings and weekends

  • No guaranteed minimum hours, work ebbs and flows with event season

  • Winter is slower (typically 1-2 events/month), summer is busier (3-5+ events/month)

  • Friday afternoon availability is a HUGE plus for grocery store tastings (these are consistently hard to fill!)

  • Ideal availability: 1-2 weekends per month, especially May-September

Shifts are posted in our scheduling app (Sling), where you can claim available events, communicate with the team, and manage your schedule.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Must-Haves:

  • 21+ years of age

  • Live in the Seattle Metro Area, Tacoma, or Olympia

  • Reliable transportation and ability to transport event supplies

  • Valid Washington Alcohol Server License (or ability to obtain one)

  • Availability for at least 1-2 weekends per month, especially during peak season

  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs

  • Comfortable standing, bending, and being on your feet for 4-6 hours at a time

Bonus Points:

  • Experience in hospitality, events, or craft beverage industries

  • Knowledge of cider, beer, wine, or spirits

  • Outgoing personality and natural storytelling ability

  • Active on social media (bonus if you love creating content!)

COMPENSATION

  • $21.30/hour + tips, where applicable 

  • Cider rations 

  • Free event tickets when available
