Celebrating The Oregon Zoo's Red Pandas with Limited Edition Pacific Berry

Welcome Home Enoki & Liu!

Enoki, the Oregon Zoo’s 3-year-old female red panda, checks out her special-edition Pacific Berry can!

Fourth annual Oregon Zoo Foundation partnership supports animals at the zoo and wildlife around the world

Make your sips count this summer and join us for a cause worthy of a round of “a-paws.”

With the arrival of the Oregon Zoo’s two new adorable residents, red pandas Enoki & Liu, we wanted to do something special for our fourth year supporting the Oregon Zoo Foundation. This summer, be sure to catch our special-edition release of Pacific Berry, featuring playful red panda artwork! Our limited release aims to give cider fans a delicious way to support wildlife throughout July and August.

During our two-month campaign, a portion of the proceeds from every Portland Cider 4- or 6-pack sold at participating retailers across Oregon and Southwest Washington will be donated to the Oregon Zoo Foundation. The funds will help provide extraordinary daily care for animals at the zoo while supporting species-saving conservation efforts in the Pacific Northwest and around the world.

“We look forward to partnering with the Oregon Zoo Foundation every summer, and this year’s collaboration might be our cutest yet,” said Jeff Parrish, co-owner of Portland Cider Co. “The arrival of two new red pandas gave us a great excuse to design a special can in their honor to welcome them to Oregon.”

The special-edition Pacific Berry cans feature a red panda wrapped around our signature apple logo, surrounded by colorful bamboo leaves, while the berry-forward flavor gives a playful nod to the cute critters’ favorite snacks.

“Gifts to the Oregon Zoo Foundation make exceptional animal care and vital conservation work possible,” said Justin Vierela, Director of Development at the Oregon Zoo Foundation. “This partnership gives people a fun and meaningful way to welcome the zoo’s new red pandas while helping protect wildlife here in the Pacific Northwest and around the world. We’re grateful to Portland Cider and everyone who raises a cider for the animals this summer.”

Find Pacific Berry at the Oregon Zoo’s concessions.

The limited-edition can is available in 4-packs of 16-ounce cans at the Oregon Zoo and select retailers throughout the Portland Metro area, while supplies last. The fundraiser is not limited to just Pacific Berry, as purchases of any Portland Cider 4- and 6-packs at select retail locations across Oregon and Southwest Washington will also generate donations to the Oregon Zoo Foundation.

So stock the fridge, and raise a glass to helping care for red pandas, protecting endangered species, and supporting the wild places they call home – one delicious sip at a time!
