This Spring, Portland Cider is for the Dogs!

Whether you’re a dog devotee, a servant to cats, or you prefer parakeets - drinking cider this spring can support your favorite animals in need. In May and June, a portion of proceeds from the sale of Portland Cider at your neighborhood Safeway and Albertsons stores will be donated to  Oregon Humane Society

Cracking open a Proper Pint of Portland Cider would be the perfect way to celebrate completing the Oregon Humane Society Doggie Dash! The annual event is OHS’ biggest fundraiser of the year, helping them provide lifesaving programs and services to thousands of animals in need. In other words, they can’t do it without you!

There are countless reasons to support the incredible work of OHS, and chances are you’ve been impacted by their efforts personally. Maybe your furriest family member is one of the 10,000+ pets adopted through OHS each year. Or maybe you’ve reported animal neglect or abuse that was investigated and resolved by OHS. Or maybe you’re one of the recipients of more than $1 million in discounted veterinary care that OHS has provided. It’s hard to overestimate the importance of OHS to animals in our community and the people who love them!

When you register for this year’s Doggie Dash, your registration fees and any other funds you raise make all of this possible. There are so many ways to participate in this inspiring, impactful event that celebrates the furpeople we love: You can join an existing team, or you can start your own, recruiting coworkers, family and friends to join you. Or you can walk as an individual, and see how much you can raise with the miles you log. Even if you can’t attend the May 11th event at Tom McCall Waterfront Park, you can start logging your Dash miles today, from any location. That after-dinner walk just gained new purpose!

And after you’ve Dashed, don’t forget to raise a glass of Portland Cider to yourself for being such a good human and helping the animals served by OHS. We wag our tails enthusiastically to you!
